The Operation
We may be a very small operation, but we do have big dreams. This will be our forever homestead one day (hopefully soon), so we take the upmost care in doing things "right".
The Cows
Running Creek Farm currently has nine cows on its roster, with more certainly on the way once we get things up and running.
The Horses
There are currently five horses running around the farm. Elvira, Bucky and Skippy live in the back pen, happily grazing on grass and eagerly awaiting the feed arrival. J.P. likes to run with the cows, bullying his way up to the feed troughs every weekend.
Then there is Crazy Eyes. She is a shetland disaster that has to stay penned up in a small enclosure or she will terrorize the surrounding country side.
The Barn
While we eventually will have a house located on the property, right now the barn serves as the center of our operation. It is part workspace / part hangout local.
Not only do we have a full shop in the 1,500 square-foot barn, it also serves as a garage for the UTV, tractor and mowers, a feed bin for the various cattle and horse feeds, a fence-mending station and an eating area.
